AXA REIM has won planning permission for a 37,000sq m Merrielands industrial quarter.
The B1, B2 and B8 development will be on a 9.2ha brownfield site, which was formerly part of the Ford car manufacturing plant.
Current consent allows industrial/warehouse units from 450sq m to 11,250sq m, but subject to further planning negotiations, larger units of up to 27,000sq m could also be provided.
The Merrielands Crescent site in south Dagenham is near the A13 and Dagenham Dock Station, in an established industrial location.
The site is being marketed on as a freehold/leasehold design-and-build development, constructed to occupiers’ specific requirements, with new developments delivered within 12 months of parties agreeing contracts.
Roxhill Developments has been appointed as development manager, along with Knight Frank and Capita Symonds as letting agents.
