Barking & Dagenham College has become the latest tenant to commit to the newly built Dagenham Business Centre.
GLE Property Developments said this month that the college had taken a 10-year lease on a three-storey office unit.
The Rainham Road North centre, developed by GLE in partnership with the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham, was part-financed by the former London Development Agency’s European Regional Development Fund Programme, securing some £206,000 in EU cash.
The centre has 21 units with a total of 3,020sq m of accommodation, and two three-storey offices, one of which has been taken by the college.
The City of London Corporation is about to buy Barking Power Station site in east London for around £125 million, according to Property Week.
A £25 million grant for Barking and Dagenham Council will help it support new housebuilding over the next four years.
