East Thames launches job club

A new job club has been started to help young people in Barking get the help they need to find work.

Vivian John, aged 23, was helped into work by East Thames' scheme

The Workwise club – is specifically targeted at 18-24 year-olds – was set up by housing association East Thames in parthership with training provider East Tenders and specialist employment broker Elevate.

East Thames said that the new club will help people find and apply for jobs and training opportunities, and offer tips on CVs and interview preparation. The housing association had helped 239 people find work last year

The club takes place from 12-3pm every Wednesday.
