Homes plan for Barking pub site

Revised plans to turn the site of a disused pub into a 13-home development have been submitted to planners at the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham.

Ilford-based Chand Investments is seeking permission to demolish the Harrow pub in Ripple Road, Barking, to make way for five houses and eight flats on the land.

Agents ATP Group said the application was an amended version of a previously submitted scheme, featuring balconies for the apartments - which are housed in a single three-storey block, and altered road access.

Papers submitted to planning officers suggested that the pub had been disused for more than five years.

Barking & Dagenham said it was working towards a target determination date of April for the application.
