Development and regeneration in Barking and Dagenham

Chadwell Heath homes scheme gets green light

By Jim Dunton - Wed 29 May 2013, 2:32 pm

Barking & Dagenham Council has approved proposals for the construction of 88 large family homes on Green Belt land in Collier Row.

Ecogrove Homes’ plans for the five-bedroomed zero-carbon properties are earmarked for a site next to Wellgate City Farm, the Barking & Dagenham Post reported.

It said members of the authority’s development control committee had considered the application an exceptional case because of its low environmental impact and new facilities to be provided for the city farm in return for approval.
