Developer Lovell has appointed Pollard Thomas Edwards Architects to design a £63.3 million housing scheme on the site of the old Barking Technical College.
The 362-home scheme is due to start on site later this year with the first phase due to for completion in 2016, Building Design reported.
The magazine quoted practice director Carl Vann saying that the project’s design approach avoided suburban sprawl in favour of a mixture of tree-lined avenues, terraces, mews streets and courts, and a variety of innovative and flexible house types.
