BOLD magazine publisher 3Fox International has arranged a networking event for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, attended by top officials.

City Hall

Keynote speakers for the event, which will be held on 7 October, include Graham Farrant, chief executive at London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD), Richard Blakeway, deputy mayor for housing, land and property at the Greater London Authority, Margaret Hodge, MP for Barking and Jon Cruddas, MP for Dagenham.

Delegates will be given the opportunity to meet with key developers and regeneration specialists established in the borough and presented with key development projects in the borough at display zones throughout the venue.

These will highlight major schemes at Barking Riverside, London Sustainable Industries Park, estate renewal programmes at Goresbrook Village and Thames View East and a large aerial view of Barking town centre.

Sponsors for the event include Bellway, Bouygues Development UK, Countryside Properties, East Thames Group and Sanofi.

David Harley, group manager for economic development and sustainable communities at the council said:  "This will be a great opportunity for people to understand why it is a great place to do business and to find out about regeneration progress and further potential.

"The event will be an ideal place to help change perceptions about Barking and Dagenham and raise awareness of the opportunities available."
