Bellway Homes has celebrated a double-achieving year for its City East scheme, which is part of the Barking Riverside regeneration programme.

As well as winning the 2013 Graham Pye Award for family-friendly homes, Barking Riverside also won the “best development” category at the Sunday Times British Homes Awards.

Bellway Essex sales director Karen Coulson, said the housebuilder was “really proud” of its achievements in 2013.

“The whole team at Barking Riverside is delighted that the development has been recognised for its great qualities,” she said.

“Buyers at City East are becoming part of something really exciting so it’s no wonder that homes here are selling well.”

Bellway said the next phase of homes at City East - the Montpellier Court Apartments - had now been released for sale.
