A charity is launching a service for developers in Barking and Dagenham to help improve the quality of the pedestrian environment across the borough.
Living Streets works with the council to offer advice to developers to ensure that they are not hindering pedestrians.
A spokesperson for the charity also said that it is carrying out a campaign to persuade people to walk more in the borough.
