Barking and Dagenham has been named among the best places in London to launch a small business.

The Federation of Small Businesses index rated Barking and Dagenham just behind Bromley as the “most attractive borough in London for small business owners to operate in, by providing the least burdensome environment”.

Councillor Cameron Geddes, cabinet member for regeneration, said: “We are a council with a new and highly ambitious leadership, and we are committed to supporting new business and growing our borough.”
