Work is due to start on building 27 new homes in King Edwards Road.

Construction company Jerram Falkus told BOLD magazine that it is being awarded a contract for the Kingsbridge project.

Approved by Barking and Dagenham Council cabinet in March 2016, the scheme includes houses and maisonettes for shared ownership.

Works also include site clearance, decontamination, demolition, drainage and infrastructure building.

Elsewhere in the borough, Jerram Falkus is also being awarded a contract for the design and development of six bungalows for elderly residents on Burford Close in Dagenham.
